This Bugling Elk is standing on a ridge, in a clearing of pines.  Painted on two wild Eastern Turkey tail feathers.  The shafts are adorned with body and covert feathers.  For this commissioned piece, the client requested that I not only use tail feathers from his harvested bird, but he also asked me to mount the turkey's beard.  The feathers are matted and framed in a shadow box.
